Na instalatie zwart scherm met Nvidia

Hallo,

Ik ben de laatste tijd bezig om compiz werkend te krijgen met mijn nieuwe Nvidia GeForce 7600 GS 512mb. Dus ik heb de howto gevolgt die iedereen word aangeraden maar na de instalatie (en reboot) krijg ik een zwart scherm. Mijn scherm geeft niet aan dat hij geen signaal krijgt maar geeft alleen maar zwart aan (reageert ook nergens meer op)

Heeft iemand enig idee?

Compiz en Beryl zien er allemaal leuk uit, maar zijn nog erg instabiel (alfastatus) en kunnen je systeem danig verzieken. Als je een stabiel systeem wil, kun je beter ervan afzien. Overigens zal de volgende versie van Ubuntu, die over twee maanden verschijnt (7.04), er al beter mee kunnen omgaan. Echt geheel geïntegreerd zal het pas in oktober zijn (versie 7.10).

Maarja, compiz heb ik nog niet eens mee kunnen beginnen. Mijn Nvidia driver zou toch gewoon moeten werken of ligt dat nou aan mij? Ik bedoel als mijn drivers niet eens willen werken dan heb ik er ook niet zoveel aan.

Het werkt al .

Echt super dit, het mag dan wel buggy zijn, maartoch het is echt gaaf.
Ik heb nu deze howto gevolgd:

En gebruikt gemaakt van de automatische instalatie, erg makkelijk!
