Schermresolutie wijzigen in Ubuntu?

Kan nog steeds geen hogere resolutie kiezen dan 1024x768 (

Kan het niet op 1152 x 864

Dat is inderdaad de mogelijke resolutie waaruit jij mag kiezen.
Nomaal als je de stappen goed hebt gevolgd moet je nieuw gekozen resolutie ertussen staan.
Ben je zeker dat je een vinkje geplaatst hebt bij de juiste resolutie?

Doe de stap nog eens en controleer of de juiste resolutie er nu bij staat.
Heb je al herstart?

Let op: als je de aanwijzingen in Pjotr's link volgt werkt de control panel van nvidia zelf niet helemaal meer.
Beter is om het gewoon in te stellen via het commando: nvidia-settings in de terminal.
Met dat programma kan je alle instellingen gewoon met je muis doen
