Dualboot probleempje in Grub

Ik heb nu een dualboot gemaakt van Win Xp en Ubuntu 7.10 en dat werkt als een speer. Het vreemde is alleen dat ik in de Grub nu 2x Windows XP kan kiezen!? Weet iemand hoe ik het volgende kan doen:

- 1x windows XP uit Grub halen
- windows XP als standaard instellen in Grub

....het is toch Grub....

Helaas is mijn grub anders of ik zie het niet.

ik krijg hem vook dubbel, eerst even kijken welke van de 2 het doet bij mij de onderste

Kan ik de onderste regels van de 2e xp gewoon uit de file halen of moet er meer gebeuren?

Nou, die beide XP-entries verwijzen wel naar twee verschillende plaatsen.

De eerste entrie verwijst naar de 1e partitie van de 1e harddisk, de tweede entrie verwijst naar de 1e partitie van de 2e harddisk.

Dus afhankelijk van waar XP daadwerkelijk is geïnstalleerd kun je beslissen welke entrie je uit de menu.lst kunt verwijderen.

Ik gok dat de eerste waar "# on /dev/sda1" bij staat de goeie is en dus moet blijven staan maar voor de zekerheid kun je beter gewoon eerst even proberen welke keuze werkt en welke niet voordat je iets verwijdert.

Ik ben trouwens wel benieuwd hoe grub aan die twee entries komt, heeft die tweede harddisk in je pc misschien ooit als eerste erin gezeten of in een andere pc of zo? Want blijkbaar staat daar toch ook iets van een Windows bootcode op.
