DVD met troebel beeld

Zowel met totem als vlc player krijg ik problemen:

met onderaan groene streep met wat oranje errond.

Met mplayer krijg ik "Error opening/initializing the selecteds video_out (-vo) device"

Mijn computer is een Acer Aspire 1350 met Feisty Fawn erop. Mijn videokaart is van VIA Technologies, Inc. VT8378 [S3 UniChrome] Integrated Video (meer info hieronder)

Ik zie alleen een zwart vlak...

Zoek eens hier op het forum naar openchrome of unichrome. Een tijdje terug heb ik ergens een aantal linkjes geplaatst met een handleiding hoe je een betere driver kan installeren.

mijn dvd rip moet nog geïntstalleerd zijn om zwarte vlakken te vermijden.

was het spannend. Met Ctrl-Alt-Backspace werd het scherm zwart en leek enkel reboot mogelijk. Maar het is goed gekomen hoihoi

nee, toch niet dus. Na avonturen met dvdrip (en talrijke extra installaties) zitten we terug bij de beginsituatie.

Prt Sc lukt dus nog niet, maar op het scherm staan diagonale troebele strepen en onderaan een groene balk...

Vreemd is ook dat de driver al op via stond ingesteld ipv op vesa zoals het kader hierboven stelt...

Dit kan je aanpassen in Systeem>Voorkeuren>Multimediasystemen selecteren

Dat las ik, maar ik weet niet hoe eraan te beginnen. Bij Voorkeuren> staat er geen Multimediasystemen bij mij.

Als ik het programma Xine open zie ik nergens een mogelijkheid om gl of x11 als driver te kiezen

als ik trouwens volgens de wiki johannes@jezus:~/openchrome$ gksudo gedit /etc/X11/xorg.conf

krijg ik

Die foutmelding maakt niet uit. Dat is een bug die verder geen kwaad kan.

Probeer eens het volgende in een terminal:
gstreamer-properties

command not found zegt hij hierop.

Met de speler gxine lijkt alles genoeg te werken.
