Hallo pcschouten, je hebt geen driver nodig, die zit al in je installatie als onderdeel van de kernel.
Wat zegt lspci | grep -i -e ethernet -e network in een terminal?
En lsmod | grep -i r8?

geeft niks bij geen van bijde
(men pci usb poorten doen het wel)

Er moet wel output verschijnen bij het eerste commando (lspci | grep -i -e ethernet -e network). Je hebt er namelijk een wireless adapter inzitten en die zou dan sowieso weergegeven moeten worden met voorgaand commando.
En het is lspci met een kleine l van Leonard, dus geen hoofdletter I van Isaak.

Dan kan het idd nog steeds een hardware matig conflict zijn.
Het zou al heel raar zijn dat er geen conflict was en lspci de kaart toch niet ziet.

Nee, is normaal, tenminste, ik heb die meldingen ook.
pcschouten, je boot van CD of niet? Zoja, dan was het handig om dat misschien ook te vermelden
dmesg laat niets zien van een IRQ conflict oid. Die kaart wordt gewoon helemaal niet herkend. Ik zou de PC helemaal uitzetten, stekker eruit, aan/uit knop even 5 tellen ingedrukt houden, PCI netwerkkaart eruit halen en er weer goed instoppen, stekker er weer in en weer opstarten.
