Na de vierde keer installeren van de ATI-driver werkt het weer op 1680x1050. Merkwaardigerwijs wordt de monitor nu niet herkend door het systeem.
Een uittreksel van de xorg.o.log file en de xorg.conf heb ik hieronder geplaatst. (het waren 78 kantjes in Writer). De met (EE) gemerkte regels heb ik eruit gelicht.

Opvallend vind ik dat de workaround van ATI met Virtual 1280 1050 nu niet meer voorkomt in de xorg.conf. Dat heb ik eerder weleens gezien.
