Epson of Canon scanner [opgelost]

Toch maar weer van plan om een scanner te kopen.
Ik twijfel tussen de Epson V39 en Canon LiDE 400

Mijn oude Epson V350 werkte perfect met de Epson drivers.
Volgens de site van Vuescan zijn er voor de Canon geen drivers nodig.
Mijn systemen zijn op dit moment Linux Mint 21.3 en LMDE 6.
Wat is wijsheid?

Klopt, maar fabrikanten zeggen wel vaker dat Linux niet ondersteund wordt terwijl het toch werkt.

Dat helpt zeker 

It looks like SANE got updated. The Canon CanoScan LiDE 400 scanner works out of the box with XSane, up to and including 4800 dpi. So it works for me on Ubuntu 22.04 LTS right out of the box.
