Heb problemen met intel wifi kaart

Ik heb een probleem met mijn wifi kaart sinds ik geupgrade van ubuntu 7.10 naar 8.04. Ik kan thuis geen verbinding maken met mijn router maar op school maakt hij wel verbinding met een acces point. Licht niet aan de router want andere laptop en playstation geraken er wel op.

Klik rechtboven op het netwerkicoontje krijg je dan een lijst van beschikbare netwerken?

Ja dat doet ie allemaal perfect hij vraagt zelfs mijn wpa code maar hij probeerte thuis verbinding te maken maar dat lukt niet.

Op school hebben we geen beveiliging maar ik heb thuis ook al geprobeert zonder beveiliging en met wep maar hij wilt thuis gewoon geen verbinding maken

Ik heb ook een probleem met mijn wireless card. Ik heb het ondertussen op launchepad gezet en er blijken nog mensen te zijn die problemen hebben met dezelfde kaart. Ik heb een 3945ABG Network kaart van Intel.

Heb problemen met intel wifi kaart

Hallo,

Heb gisteren Ubuntu versie 6.0 geinstalleerd wat verder zonder problemen verliep.
Er van uitgaande dat hij automatisch ging updaten liep ik tegen het volgende probleem aan.
Toen ik nog onder Windows werkte deed internet het prima,maar nu ik Ubuntu heb,heb ik totaal geen internet.
Via een steunpunt in de buurt voor een oplossing gevraagt maar deze kon me helaas niet verder helpen.
Heb overigens niet voor een dualboot gekozen maar voor een volledige harde schijf Ubuntu en misschien wringt daar de schoen wel.
Werk met een insteekkaartje van Speedtouch in mijn laptop.
Aan de installatie cd hiervan heb ik ook niets want daar staan geen Linux drivers op.
Wat moet ik doen om weer internet te krijgen ?
We werken hier by the way met UPC Chello.

Kan je ook even melden wat voor computer of laptop je precies hebt?

Ik heb zelf (op een HP Pavilion dv9000-en-zoveel) geen enkel probleem met deze kaart.
Ik vermoed dat er hier specifieke driver (of ACPI/APIC) issues aanwezig zijn.

Ik denk dat het niet uitmaakt wel merk van laptop je hebt, maar dat het probleem ligt bij de Intel Pro Wireless Network 3945ABG kaart.

Mijn laptop is een Packard Bell Easynote MX65 waarbij ik voor de rest geen enkel probleem mee heb.

waarschijnlijk wordt het nog veroorzaakt door iets anders.
philiper, probeer eens te booten met de boot parameters: noapic nolapic acpi=off pci=noacpi

in grub op de lijn met ubuntu gaan staan, druk op e, ga naar de lijn die met kernel begint, druk op e, voeg achteraan de lijn toe: noapic nolapic acpi=off noacpi pci=noacpi, druk op enter, druk op b om te booten

geeft dat nog steeds problemen met de draadloze netwerkverbinding?

Inderdaad profox een intel 3945 werkt hier ook prima out of the box in mijn dell D830 laptop.

Bij mij zijn met deze parameters de problemen nog erger geworden :s Ik zie nu zelfs geen netwerken meer. Hiervoor kon ik ze zien en zag ik de signaal sterkte maar kon ik niet connecteren met de netwerken.
