als ik linux op start
blijf hij heel lang hangen bij mounting root file system
ik heb de indruk dat dit als maar langer duurt

ik gebruik  Ubuntu 6.06 LTS 686
ergen voor dou core ^^

Een veel voorkomend probleem is dat je USB devices niet goed/in de verkeerde volgorde worden geladen..
Probeer is opnieuw zonder USB apparaten.
Betreft het gewoon een lange duur, of krijg je ook nog een foutmelding?

gewoon pc uit, al je usb apparate ontkoppelen en opstarten

De map /var/logs kan je eenvoudig vinden door in Locaties->persoonlijke map en daar 2X op de pijl omhoog klikken.

En met USP bedoelde hij 't Ubuntu System Pannel. Een plugin waar hier over gesproken wordt.

oke ik heb die map gevonden en welke log moe ik nu zoeken
ik zie geen voortdurend activiteit van starten-sluiten-starten
maar mss moet ik daar veer naar een bepaald log kijken

remm: typ gewoon in de terminal na het opstarten:
dmesg > /tmp/dmesg && gedit /tmp/dmesg

Dan krijg je de nieuwste systeemlog van tijdens het booten netjes in een grafische editor, en die kan je dan kopie
