Hallo Met unetbootin geprobeerd ubuntu 11.10 te installeren ,lukt niet tijdens opstarten tekst: no default or ui configuration directive found.  BOOT:--no default or ui configuration directive found .                 IEMAND HIER EEN OPLOSSING VOOR B.V.D PIETmet usb-creator-gtk geprobeerd lukt ook niet.met schijfgereedschap gekeken daar staat smart-status niet ondersteund kan dat daar iets mee te maken hebben graag advies.ik werk in ubuntu niet met windows gr.piet

Probeer het eens met usb-creator-gtk:

Wil je vanaf windows de usb-stick aanmaken dan kan ik van harte LinuxLive USB Creator aanraden:

Hiermee eigenlijk nooit problemen mee, met unetbootin (soms) wel.

Beste ook even usb-stick vooraf even goed herformatteren met FAT of met FAT 16...eventueel even een andere stick proberen (minstens 2 GB)

Een goochel later:

Rename folder on flash drive: isolinux -> syslinux,
I also needed to rename the isolinux.bin and isolinux.cfg files in the syslinux folder to syslinux.bin and syslinux.cfg and then it works.

you may also try to format your usb as FAT not FAT32, it might work as is with the installer then. but renaming folders and files worked for me.
