[OPGELOST] Desktop kleiner dan beeldscherm ?

Goedendag allemaal 
Ik heb een heel vreemd iets.
Vanmorgen Ubuntu geinstalleerd,-bits versie. Draait goed. Toen vertelde "het systeem" mij dat er een UPGRADE was naar (k)ubuntu  9.04. Heb ik gedaan. Geen foutmeldingen, alles ging goed, totdat ik moest inloggen. Het grafische inlogscherm stond in linkerbovenhoek. Kwart van scherm was maar zichtbaar. Op desktop aangekomen blijkt dat ik mijn desktop "buiten beeld" kan schuiven door met de muis tever naar onder of rechts ga.

Het is net of het systeem denkt dat mijn monitor 4 maal groter is dan de zichtbare desktop, die wel het gehele scherm vult zodra ik maar steeds de muis in linker bovenhoek plaats, zodat de ghele desktop weer schermvullend is. Bij monitor oid. kan ik bij eigenschappen niet raars vinden.

Sorrie voor het "rare " verhaal, maar het werkt hoogst irritant als elke keer je gehele desktop wegfloept uit beeld.

Niets raars heb ik ook eens iets gehad in die zin, maar hoe los je het op is weer een andere vraag. 

Mmm... Kan je hier je xorg.conf plaatsen? (/etc/X11/xorg.conf) Zal waarschijnlijk niet veel in staan bij 9.04.

Wat voor videokaart heb je en welke soort monitor.

Ik had reeds al bij de instellingen  van de kaart gekeken etc...
Ik heb een nvidia 8800 met 512 mb.
Monitor is een LG Flatron 774FT.

Dank voor de antwoorden.
Ik heb het al op kunnen lossen.
Configuratie tool had problemen met opslaan las ik steeds.

Middels "sudo mc" heb ik het file handmatig aan kunnen passen. virtual ook op 1024 768 gezet, opgeslagen, herstart, desktop gedraagt zich nu normaal.

Die vele andere resoluties naast mode. Daar kan je er ook enkele van verwijderen. Maar moet je natuurlijk niet speciaal doen. Als het werkt laat ze dan maar staan.
