Where has the source o matic gone?

The source-o-matic is gone.
Why do you want to use the source-o-matic? The default repositories are fine and work properly.
At the moment the source-o-matic has been removed and we can not say if it is going to be available again in the future.

Because its fast, easy and it normally contains somewhat more resporitoris than the default installation

The default installation gives you stable, secure and fast repositories.
You can't be sure how reliable other repositories are. Some of them (eg. medibuntu) are well known and are considered as safe. Other repositories could be dangerous to your system.
